Taiwan Yunlin District Prosecutors Office was officially set up on July 1, 1964. Before that, Taiwan Chiayi District Prosecutors Office dominated over the non-contentious, civil action and criminal action cases of Yunlin and only established the “Yunlin Court” on No.56, Gong-an Rd., Huwei Township, Yunlin County in 1956. Except for Bei Gang Zhen、Si Hu Xiang、Kou Hu Xiang、Shui Lin Xiang, other areas’ civil and criminal cases of Yunlin were still jurisdicted by Chiayi. Not long after that, Since Taiwan Chiayi District Prosecutors Office took the Yunlin Court so distant, Taiwan Chiayi District Prosecutors Yunlin Branch was eventually set up and changed its name as Taiwan Yunlin District Prosecutors Office.
